Lexian Solutions was appointed in July 2006 to provide the logistics technology for the Beijing Olympic Games The system as implemented covered the tracking of all assets across all venues, a warehouse management system for the OLC and a transport scheduling system (master delivery schedule – MDS) for all supply vehicles. The system also controls the disposal process for all assets and equipment after the Games. The system tracked some 500,000 items of equipment and scheduled over 30,000 deliveries leading up to and during the Games.
Lexian provided logistics advice to BOCOG from 2005 onwards particularly around the preparation of freight procedures, venue logistics requirements and technology requirements.
Lexian undertook similar roles for Sydney 2000, the Australian Olympic Team in Athens 2004 and the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games.
